@btford & @othiym23

Angular's data binding, zone.js, asyncListener, CLS, shimmer – violating user expectations, violating the sanctity of the DOM, violating the JIT – all for the benefit of you, the humble JavaScript developer!

Maybe this would be an opportunity for me to finally talk about deepest, which has this ringing endorsement in its README:

Also, I'm not sure this module is a good idea.

Oh, the shenanigans I had to go through to monkeypatch tap! property-lolscriptors would have been super useful to me at the time (at the cost of allowing me to believe anything my tests were telling me, as well as doubting the fundamental nature of reality, truth, and goodness).

I just remembered that I made one of my interns write this lil lib: https://github.com/angular/dom-interceptor

the idea was to throw if people were tinkering with DOM state in places that they shouldn't

@btford when do you want to get together to work on this? If I don't put it on my calendar, it's not going to happen, and I want it to happen, and also to be the greatest thing ever seen by human eyes, so we should start, like, soon.

@othiym23 @btford - would love to see how I can segue from my talk to some of your concepts too, if you want to loop me in to a discussion thread (if it's not here) or maybe a summary I can look over whilst incorporating.

hollaaaah.

@btford my week is full right now, but there's a chance I could do something on Friday after work, this weekend, or sometime early next week. I'll ping you on Twitter when I'm available.

@sprjr like @btford, I would love to work with you to make our talks work well together!

If you haven't already, please register yourself as a speaker for JSFest:

https://ti.to/jsfest/oakland?release_id=nqflw0il0qw

If you get it in within the next few days you'll probably get a much nicer conference badge :)

And for any clever buggers who think they can register for free using that link, we will be checking the names against the accepted speakers list :)

@btford @othiym23 - Just checking in again on the sync/collab stuff. Going to stop procrastinating any day now...thinking next week some time. Have you guys started yet or still swamped?

I'm going to have a draft outline to @btford before the end of the week – I too have been procrastinating, but I want this talk to shine so I'll at least figure out what topics we want to cover & block out the sections of the talk in the next day or so.
