I just realized that - regarding the crop-img function - in case you'll use it - better to compare the row/column color values to greater than 3 (it's greater than 1 atm, right now it only works if the background is white). It should work on any color background then. |

sorry for the delay - this should probably not really be a PR since it also contains other changes as well...
Anyhow, it includes the function I use to create medial + lateral images with color bars. It sort of wraps the plotting function, crops the images and concatenates everything.
