⚠️ Known Issues

  • Unable to sleep, it will automatically wake up immediately after sleep, for a temporary solution use the following command to prevent entering sleep mode:
    sudo pmset -a disablesleep 1
When this value is set to 1, all sleep functions are disabled. The Sleep item in the Apple menu is also dimmed ("grayed out"). When set to 0, the sleep functionality will be restored.

‼️ Important Notes

  • This repo is a modified and updated version of this EFI: https://github.com/beyondgary/Hackintosh_i5-7500_B250_HD630_EFI

  • If you are still haven't updated your BIOS DO IT NOW.

  • If the display turns black on boot plug out HDMI or DP and then plug it back in.

  • After installation change the SMBIOS to get Apple ID working. Follow Dortania's OpenCore Guide.

  • I have put the *-no_compat_check in the Boot Arguments (so Sonoma works) If you are NOT INSTALLING SONOMA remove it.

  • At some point the iGPU should stop working in Sonoma, just be careful and make backups.

🔄 Upgrading to Sonoma

  1. BACKUP. REALLY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!

  2. Use gibmacOS to download Sonoma.

  3. Set the SMBIOS to iMac19,1 in EFI (dont change anything else).

  4. Turn off the internet before starting upgrade.

  5. Upgrade normally.

  6. After its done, make sure the --no_compat_check boot argument is set.

  7. Set the SMBIOS to iMac18,1 in EFI.

  8. DOUBLE CHECK before saving!

  9. Reboot, plug in internet and enjoy!
