Openscad : perfect but freecad is now very good except that I don't know how to use a file from freeship to open it in freecad in order to have a shell with a defined thickness :-((
Today printing a mold in 3D printing saves a lot of work! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRqQCbzVkN8

That chined hull was designed in about 2013 so whatever version was prominent, back then. However, I wouldn't use that design again for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I didn't like the shape of it in Delftship (due to my inexperience) so I doubled the beam and the draft and the actual hull is way too stubby. I should have left them alone. Secondly, I switched to Paul Miller's MegaMOOP design which is not a chined hull and is a proven design. He did a version of the hull at the full 2.4m LOA as I decided against using a 1.2m design like Hull #1 was. You can find his designs online.
If you really want it, I can dig out the old Delftship version, but I suspect I don't even have the computer any more.
Interesting you should mention FreeCAD. I just received my copy of "Getting started with FreeCAD" (or a similar title) but I haven't started using it yet. Generally I prefer parametric design rather than agonizing over whether or not I've moved the mouse by the exact amount. I have struggled with Fusion 360 too and am looking forward to seeing if FreeCAD solves my issues with WYSIWYG CAD.
I struggled to convert DXF files in order to get a table of offsets, too. I generally go the "plywood stations" route and then cover in balsa, followed by fibreglass on both sides of the balsa - cold moulding, in other words. I remove every second station and epoxy-coat the remaining ones. I foam-fill compartments which don't have electronics or keel bolt access.
Thanks for the interest, and the reminder to start that FreeCAD book!!
Hello,
Which delftship software is used?
I have an old version 3.20 but it does not open.
If you used freeship new version we would be perfectly in open source
