Zortrax Robotic Arm

This is a project in ROS & Gazebo of 5DoF robotic arm.

The manipulator

Prerequisites:

  • Install gazebo and ROS. The versions used in development was Gazebo 9.8.0 and ROS 1.14.3

  • Install gazebo add-ons:

      $ sudo apt-get install ros-melodic-move-base

      $ sudo apt-get install ros-melodic-ros-control ros-melodic-ros-controllers

      $ sudo apt-get install ros-melodic-gazebo-ros-control

Understanding the project architeture

There are three main folders: manipulador_description, manipulador_gazebo, manipulador_control.
