Modifying A Gotek

To run TestBed, a Gotek requires modification. The simplest method is to buy a small adapter board from me, and to solder this direct to the Gotek's floppy header. The Gotek is now permanently modified to run TestBed.

The adapter board itself includes a 34-pin header, which connects to the Gotek device-under-test (DUT) via a straight ribbon cable.

In addition to the adapter board, you will also require:

  • A mini jumper at position S0
  • A jumper wire from S1 to JB
  • A jumper wire from MO to JC

All these modifications can be seen in the pictures below. Note the programming jumper which allows the Gotek to be flashed with latest test firmware before starting the test and collecting serial logs.
