As long as /Android/media data is removed when uninstalling Kiwix, that location is not safe for the massive amount of ZIM data.
Hence the AFA version is essential.

Can you pls. produce a current AFA version?
TXs and cheers

@mbe57 Thank you for your bug report. What do you mean with "AFA"?

AFA translates to All Files Access.
This is the Android privilege the Github version 3.9.1 leverages.

@mbe57 All the "All Files Access" APKs are listed here https://download.kiwix.org/release/kiwix-android/. The latest version of the full version of our application is kiwix-3.13.0.apk. You can download it, it can load the ZIM files from all storage locations. However, this version also downloads the ZIM files in the /Android/media/... directory which can be deleted upon the app uninstall. For this, we have implemented a feature to keep the data of this directory #4151, the latest updated APK with this fix is kiwix-universal-2025-01-07.apk. However, we strongly recommend moving the data from this directory to another storage location before deleting the application for the safer side. Because a user facing this issue with the external HDD when he again installs the application then this directory is deleted #4148 (comment).
