Tomek are you using now zabbix 4.2.x?
In next few days I'm going to star pushing changes to the devel branch using zabbix 4.2.1.
As that version of the zabbix provides some support for the macros which can be used in LLDs I think that I'll try to use those new abilities.
I think that this new way will be much more effective than what you've implemented in the PR.

I have not updated yet to 4.2.x, but.... I do not remember how I did it in this PR;)
