Maintenance #56
Comments
As per our meeting yesterday, please make the following changes to the requirements above:
a) Remove the email & SMS fields
a) Take out the Calendar & List view buttons at the bottom of the screen. This phase will only offer a list view. |
AKO, As per our conversation on Tuesday, it looks like the spec for the start pages of this feature is in the Car Care Issue: #55 So when a user clicks on the wrench icon on the main menu, they should be given the menu in the Car Care issue. Then, depending on which page they choose, they are taken into either 1) Alerts, 2) Maintenance, or 3) History. Looks like 1) Alerts is in the Car Care issue and 2) Maintenance and 3) History is in this one. Let me know if you have questions. FYI, KK |
Got it. What happens when you're looking at a detail page for a specific vehicle and then select maintenance? Same splash page? |
AKO and BKO, after yesterday's discussion, Phil brought me the shelves and we talked a bit more about simplifying this feature for Phase 1. We decided, per your feedback AKO, that we'll do the following for P1:
So, the user will still be able to get alerts, set up their own reminders (both recurring and one-time), etc. All reminders will still go into the Maint. List (showing mileage based reminders in a section at the top, with date-based reminders below). From there the user can either delete the reminder, or they can "Complete" it (after they actually do it in the real world). Make sense? We will most likely want to add the scheduling feature back in for Phase 2. FYI, KK |

+2 there. I read this earlier and thought to myself that this was a milestone worthy of celebration. Then I let the activities of the day steal my attention. So Mr. AKO, you do indeed rockth like Slayer. Warm Regards, Q Wade Billings

Driver enters their own maintenance reminders:
Inside the Scheduled Car Care feature, the user should have the option to create their own maintenance reminders. Once they click the “Create” button, they should be offered a detail data entry screen. There they should be able to enter the name of the task and then choose either an odometer increment or a date for the reminder
Once saved, the maintenance reminder should be available in the Settings menu for editing or deletion. If the user chooses that item in Settings, they should be given the detail screen again, where the parameters can be changed, or the record deleted.
When a reminder event occurs (odometer or date), the new reminder should appear in the recommended tasks list where it can be treated like other new tasks (deleted or scheduled).
3. Maintenance History
If the user chooses to enter the History feature, they should see their entire fleet for the previous month. A date range link at the top should allow them to change to previous months. Below that, they should see the list of both scheduled and completed maintenance tasks. Completed tasks should be listed in a different color than scheduled. If the user clicks into a task, they should be able to see the saved detail.
