Vite, NPM issues and other missunderstandings.

On fresh mvc install and serving, app throws manifest not found error. (tried on multiple environments).

On leaf:serve or php leaf:serve, npm dev commands is non existing.

On fresh view:install --vite, by default, svelte is being installed.

On manual vite install and configuration, same issues with npm.

package.json non existing in root folder.

Is there a way to get rid of inertia or is it required to have if using leaf defaults?

All issues is on fresh mvc install. Tried on multiple environments.

I followed documentation, starting with cli installation. After cli installation, leaf command was not working, so as suggested, i included composer path to zsh.

on leaf create, i selected full stack mvc version, selected Y to starter, N to tests and N to docker. Selected vue. And thats it. No initial errors or warnings.

I managed to achieve what i wanted by using basic version of it. However, i manually installed (not using leaf cli) npm packages, vite, vue.. etc. In other hand.. blade/vite logic is lost so i ended up writing custom logic to detect dev/prod versions.

I dont know where is the actual issue in my case. It might be related to EACCESS, but no issues was logged.

Also, i am not sure if its my mistake somewhere or what, but looks like env variables does not sync properly with app()->config(). Its not a big deal, but documentation says that it should work. I am using basic setup. Please keep in mind that i moved index.php to /public directory, so all my paths is one level behind.

Unless the actual usage should be that env variables needs to be set in app()->config().

If thats the case, then this line in documentation needs to be rephrased:

You can also set the application mode using the APP_ENV environment variable. If Leaf detects that the APP_ENV environment variable is set, it will automatically set the application mode to the value of the APP_ENV variable.

Hey @kTauras , sorry about the delayed response. I tried creating the app using the exact steps you took but could not replicate your issue. Can you tell me about the EACCSS error you mentioned?

And it's exactly the same for the env issue, app mode and env work as expected without the app()->config([ 'mode' => 'production', 'debug' => false ]);

If changing your env doesn't update the app context as expected, you might need to restart the serve command. It looks like that may be the issue you run into

@kTauras we've pushed an update that reloads your env variables on every request in a non-production environment. This will clear any conflict you had with the env earlier. Run composer update and replace your public/index.php with this:
