CheerpX Games Runner is an open-source Chrome Extension to run your games directly in the browser.
Games are populated from the personal collection of the user, by integrating with GOG 1. Other stores might be supported in the future.
The extension is powered by CheerpX, a x86-to-WebAssembly virtual machine. Currently it supports games running on DOS, support for modern games is also planned in the future.

- Works on any platform, even if not officially supported by the game.
- No local installation required.
- Clone or download the repository.
- Open the Chrome browser and navigate to
chrome://extensions/. - Enable "Developer mode" by toggling the switch on the top right.
- Click on the "Load unpacked" button and select the downloaded repository folder.
- After the extension is installed, click on the extension icon next to the address bar.
- The CheerpX Games Runner tab will open. Login to GOG.com if needed.
- Choose a game from the list and click it's icon to run it in your browser.

You are welcome to use, modify, and redistribute the contents of this repository.
The public CheerpX deployment is provided as-is and is free to use for technological exploration, testing and non-commercial uses. Downloading a CheerpX build for the purpose of hosting it elsewhere is not permitted.
