I got an error like #1085 and #1086 except at line 145 of

gitsigns.nvim/lua/gitsigns/git/repo.lua

Lines 144 to 146 in 8639036

    
           if not repo_cache[gitdir] then 
        
             repo_cache[gitdir] = {1, new(info)} 
        
           else

This PR adds a nil check like e784e5a, 375c44b, and 7178d1a. Not sure what the underlying cause of all this is.

(the repo I was in is not empty and worked before without errors, can't seem to reproduce the error again.)
