Welcome to the explosig-docker wiki!
This wiki contains information about running ExploSig locally.
A good place to start is on the Concepts page.
When running ExploSig locally, you will be able to customize:
- signatures, via the Signatures Metadata File
- mutation data, via the Mutation Data Metadata File
- clinical variables, via the Clinical Variables Metadata File
- pathways, via the Pathways Metadata File
- featured configurations, via the Featured Metadata File
- trinucleotide counts, via the Trinucleotide Counts Metadata File
The above metadata files specify where to look in the obj
directory for files. The wiki pages starting with "File Format:" in the sidebar to the right specify the file formats to which the above metadata files point.
Any files that are specified in the metadata files but that are not found in obj
are assumed to be hosted in the UMIACS object store, and will be downloaded when the server starts by automatically running this script. So any custom data files that are specified in the metadata files must already exist in the local obj
directory when the container starts or else the script will erroneously attempt to download it from UMIACS and fail.
It may be helpful to know that most of the file formats for metadata files and other files used by ExploSig adopt a narrow format (also known as long, tidy, or molten).
