Clean up dependencies a bit, remove some unnecessary ones, and add more commentary about where the dependencies are coming from. Add --allow-unsafe and --resolver=backtracking to get rid of some warnings. Delete update-deps-no-hashes; it is mostly for testing Safir and this package doesn't use Safir.
