foto-sort

Sort fotos by date and location of file metadata.

This package uses exif metadata and a reverse-geocoding to automatically sort your fotos into folders, separated by year and location. It additionally does deduplication of identical fotos using hashsums.

That way you can:

  • run this tool any number of times with duplicating the fotos in your target folder.
  • you can rearrange the fotos in your target folder and still do not end up with duplications

This tool creates a hidden file called .hashtable.sqlite in the root of your target folder.
