Sort fotos by date and location of file metadata.
This package uses exif metadata and a reverse-geocoding to automatically sort your fotos into folders, separated by year and location. It additionally does deduplication of identical fotos using hashsums.
That way you can:
- run this tool any number of times with duplicating the fotos in your target folder.
- you can rearrange the fotos in your target folder and still do not end up with duplications
This tool creates a hidden file called .hashtable.sqlite in the root of your target folder.
This package requires ExifTool to be install beforehand. It is avalailabe for Windows, MacOS and Unix Platforms.
Installation instructions can be found here.
sudo apt install exiftool
