## Gentoo (incomplete guide)

To install support for Vulkan API, (will be functional only if you have a [Vulkan capable GPU](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vulkan_(API)#Compatibility)) and 32-bit games.

YOU NEED to have [mesa compiled with vulkan USE flag (or put that in your make.conf file)](https://packages.gentoo.org/packages/media-libs/mesa)

#### Files you may or may not need to edit

some larger games such as ARK:Survival evolved requires editing of certain files in order to work.

You may need to add ```* hard nofile 1048576``` in /etc/security/limits.conf. This is done because the game is trying to open more files than the system allows it to.
