Those are a number of fixes I've been accumulating in my OVN IC branch which can already be reviewed and merged on their own.
It's primarily about naming things consistently, fixing some typoes, cleaning up some type definitions and adding needed doc strings.
It also fixes an issue with the DB generator's handling of camel case table names which came up when attempting to introduce some new tables in that upcoming branch.
