The Third Installment

This is the third public release of EventLogMonitor, now at version 2.2

This version adds improved support for viewing events exported from other computers, including support for viewing the events in different languages to the source system. This holds even if the original event-generating application is not installed on the viewing system. See the README.md for more details.

A new detailed guide to exporting events for viewing on a different system is also included here: ExportingEvents.md.

This release is also updated to the .NET 8 runtime. No installation is required - simply choose a download below and unzip it. Then just copy the EventLogMonitor.exe application to a folder on your path and you are good to go.

As always, there are two versions to choose from:

• a "smaller" EventLogMonitor-v2-2-without-framework.zip download that requires that you have the .NET 8 Runtime framework installed as a pre-req.
• a "larger" EventLogMonitor-v2-2-with-framework.zip download that is self-contained and does not require any pre-reqs.

Simply pick the latest version that matches your environment. The functionality of both versions is the same.

The second one

This is the second public release of EventLogMonitor, now at version 2.1

This version adds extensive new support for filtering by event ids; see the README.md for more details.

No installation is required - simply choose a download below and unzip it. Then simply copy the EventLogMonitor.exe application and EventLogMonitor.pdb into a folder on your path and you are good to go.

As before, there are two versions to choose from:

• a "smaller" EventLogMonitor-v2-1-without-framework.zip download that requires that you have the .NET 6 Runtime framework installed as a pre-req.
• a "larger" EventLogMonitor-v2-1-with-framework.zip download that is self-contained and does not require any pre-reqs.

Simply pick the latest version that matches your environment. The functionality of both versions is the same.

The first one
