Is the customize indentation an copy paste error?
indentation needs to be as foolows:

waste_collection_schedule:
  sources:
    - name: ics
      args:
        file: "www/abfallkalender.ics"
       customize:
        - type: Restabfall (2-wöchentlich)
          alias: restabfall 
          icon: midi:trash-can

The type in the senosr needs to be written exaclty like shown in your calendar. Whats the name of the event in your Calendar?

yep, sorry, it was a copy&paste error.

What do you mean with the name of the event in the calender? which calender?

ahh, without the HACS ics calender component, the WCS doesn't work

This should generally not be the case. But we have some dependency issues with HACS ics calendar as they use a different version of the pyhton icalendar library
