You should be able to provide a GeoJSON representation of a shape (string or instance of a class) to create and place ARAnchors representing that shape in the real world. Shapes like points, lines and polygons should be supported at first with possibly more complex geometries supported in the future.

Great! Feel free to submit a PR. I think that most of the building blocks to achieve the outline stated in #2 (comment) exists in the library already since it can render individual point geometries.
