feat: Updates for GNOME 45

I'm encountering a strange issue:
The app seems to hang the more I maximize/minimize or shrink its width in order to show/hide the sidebar.

After several days, I'm still not able to create a minimal reproducer, but I could comment out as many parts that the issue seems to go away. I left a comment on those parts that will make the issue appear again if activated.
