I'm finding it a bit tricky to understand the behaviour change from the video. Can you please document what your intended change is in text form?

I'm finding it a bit tricky to understand the behaviour change from the video. Can you please document what your intended change is in text form?

This PR does two things - fixes the point 2 and 3 of element-hq/element-web#18593 (comment)

  • Hides emoticons (:p, :D...) from the emoji autocomplete
  • Displays the emoji autocomplete only after the user types two letters (e.g. :sm)

Umm. Is it just me, or is this quite a step backwards? My coworkers are also not happy at all about this change. Before you could just type colon and select from your recently used emojis with up/down. That was pretty cool. Now, all of a sudden it seems this is no longer possible. I find the new behavior quite complicated. Especially sad, because there doesn't seem an option to get back the old behavior which I found very efficient. If I could put it as an emoji, I'd say: 😥

To my point of view "Displays the emoji autocomplete only after the user types two letters" is a not an improvement.
In our organisation we got a lot of requests from our users regarding this. Emojis seems to be the most important thing - astonishing. I think knowing the names of the emojis can't be assumed.
