* * FUDI as3 library * This library is a port of the Puredata FUDI protocol to Actionscript. It implements both the netsend and netreceive for use as native classes. * * Folder Structure * bin/ - contains the compiled FUDI bridge examples/ - contains example files netreceive/ - contains example for the netreceive object netsend/ - contains example for the netsend object library/ - contains a compiled swc of the actionscript library src/ - contains the source files actionscript/ - contains the source files of the actionscript library processing/ - contains the source files of the FUDI bridge * * FUDI bridge * The FUDI bridge serves as bridge between Flash and Puredata. It implements a policy server to allow Flash to connect to TCP Sockets and a bridge server when using the netreceive object in Flash, since Flash can only connect to servers not create one. The policy server always opens a port at 843. The FUDI server always opens a port at 3001. This will be changed in a later release to allow custom ports. * Running the FUDI bridge - Windows users simply double click the fudi_bridge.jar - Mac and Linux users must run the fudi_bridge.jar as root There are two ways to do this: 1) Open a terminal and cd to the folder where the fudi_bridge.jar resides, then type: sudo java -jar fudi_bridge.jar & 2) Open a terminal and type (' ' becomes '\ '): sudo java -jar /path/to\ the\ folder/fudi_bridge.jar & You can close the terminal window now. For an OS other than Mac and Ubuntu your root command will probably not be sudo. * * Examples * Each example comes with its own readme file, please read it.
