My nvim-jdtls can't work with dap

I have installed and configured the nvim-jdtls plugin, and everything is working well except for debugging.

When I open a Java project, variable suggestions, imports, and basic LSP functions all work properly.
Until I run the command

<cmd>lua require'dap'.run()<cr>

I get

No Configuration avaliable to run

I notice that the doc of nvim-jdtls memtion as follow:

nvim-jdtls includes functionality to discover main classes and create nvim-dap configuration entries for them.

To discover the main classes you have to call require('jdtls.dap').setup_dap_main_class_configs() or use the > JdtUpdateDebugConfigs command. It will only discover classes once eclipse.jdt.ls fully loaded the project. Depending on the project that may take a while. Because of that, calling require('jdtls.dap').setup_dap_main_class_configs() as part of an on_attach handler may not work well.

To get an overview of all available attach and launch options, take a look at [java-debug options]> (https://github.com/microsoft/vscode-java-debug#options). Keep in mind that any java.debug options are settings of the vscode-java client extension and not understood by the debug-adapter itself.

I tried execute cmd JdtUpdateConfig ,messages show OK, and then I run the command lua require'dap'.run , the reuslt as same as befor,I am confused about this,how i can run the java project ,Do I need any additional configuration, or did I configure something incorrectly? Can anyone provide some suggestions?

Does your project have any main classes? (They need a public static main)
If not, you need to add manual configurations either in dap.configurations.java or in a .vscode/launch.json file.

Thank you, bro. You gave me an idea. When you mentioned main classes, I realized I could step away from my current project and build a test Java class, like the one below.

I set a breakpoint on a standard output line, then executed JdtUpdateConfig->lua require('dap').run(), and the following error occurred:

I realized that I might need to pass a parameter to the run command. I thought jdtls had already handled this, so I suspected I might be using the wrong command. I typed Dap+Tab in the command line and discovered a DapNew command. This command made debugging work properly. Strangely, I couldn’t find this command in the documentation for either dap or jdtls. Although I haven’t fully figured out the logic yet, it’s a good start that it’s working.
