DurableTask.Core was updating the
OrchestrationRuntimeStatefield onTaskOrchestrationWorkItemin a convoluted way that created a race condition. The race condition could then corrupt the runtime state in somewhat unpredictable ways, such as by losing progress.With DurableTask.Core 2.9.1 I can now turn off this behavior, which fixes the race condition.
