Modified react native app in Windows doesn't work after a week

Last week, I modified the original react native app created when I first started learning. Today, I deleted the emulator (aka virtual device) which showed some error. I did not take any screenshots because I thought deleting and re-creating the basic hello world would work. Is this how react native works? I don't have this problem with the normal empty activity template when i use java or kotlin. Why?
