Description
Part of the accessibility testing plan is the following step:
Narrator: Turn on Narrator (Win + Ctrl + Enter), set default verbosity levels (Settings > Accessibility > Narrator >Verbosity Level = "3 - All control details", Context level for buttons and controls = "2 - Immediate context")
- Share your computer sound on the teams call (Find the presentation banner at the top of your screen & click the button that has the screen and sound icon)
- Use tab and arrows to navigate through the page
- Pretend you're in a coding interview - tell the reviewer what keys you're hitting as you press them
- Listen to what narrator speaks
- Does it make sense?
- Any weirdness or differences between the visible text and text spoken?
- To stop Narrator speaking, press Ctrl, to turn off narrator, press Win + Ctrl + Enter.
When enabling narrator on the example page, the blue box appears around the first component that has keyboard focus, and narrator announces information about the component. However, once the user tabs onto the next component on the page, the blue box does not follow, and Narrator stops speaking.
