Area-User Interface Issues pertaining to the user interface of the Console or Terminal Issue-Bug It either shouldn't be doing this or needs an investigation. Product-Terminal The new Windows Terminal. Resolution-By-Design It's supposed to be this way. Sometimes for compatibility reasons.

Steps to Reproduce:

  • Open Terminal+cmd
  • Adjust transparency via mouse scroll to let your beautiful desktop background shine through 🀩✨.
  • Move focus to another window (e.g. other monitor).
  • Background is now pitch black and user is very sad 😒

Dunno if this is a feature/bug/dupe. (could only find the MEGA thread)

@dasMulli dasMulli added the Issue-Feature Complex enough to require an in depth planning process and actual budgeted, scheduled work. label Jul 1, 2019

We can't do this, unfortunately! System policy dictates that acrylic is only allowed on the actively focused window. Once the terminal loses focus, the system takes acrylic away from us. ☹️
