Configuring MSTest via testconfig.json

I am trying to use testconfig.json (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/core/testing/unit-testing-mstest-configure#testconfigjson) to configure MSTest with not much luck. For instance, given the following configuration:

I expect deployment directory to be deleted after the test run, but it is still there. What am I missing?

Issue on me, the documentation is probably not clear enough. Each XXX settings section represents a inner group so for yoru case it needs to be under deployment (https://learn.microsoft.com/dotnet/core/testing/unit-testing-mstest-configure#deployment-settings).

Another question. If I run tests from Visual Studio or using vstest.console.exe, how do I specify testconfig.json?

This config file is exclusive to MTP and so is not supported by vstest.console.exe. For Test Explorer, sadly this is a big limitation we have at the moment preventing us to really push forward this testconfig file. I'll sync again with the team to see how we could resolve (maybe temporarly hack) something.
