  • VSCode Version:1.6.0 insiders
  • OS Version: Windows 10

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Using the setup described in test plan Test: Release notes in the product #12520
  2. Ignore the banner that appears asking if you'd like to see the release notes.
  3. Help > Release Notes.
    The release notes are correctly shown in the product.
  4. Try Help > Release Notes or click the banner

Error: Cannot read property 'removeChild' of null
