Simple Browser Authentication Feature Request

The new Simple Browser feature is a great addition for quickly viewing web content inside VS Code. One limitation, however, is that it currently does not support authenticated experiences. Some users have indicated interest in this. i.e. @tadrian67(from the comments)-The app I am building in blazor require user to be logged in using oauth so I always only see a white screen when I (or AI) try to use it. I hope they fix that because to me it is useless.

Many modern development workflows involve previewing applications that require authentication (e.g., login pages, cookies, headers, OAuth flows, or token-based auth). Without auth support, the Simple Browser is limited to public or unauthenticated pages.

Yeah Authentication support would be so nice. Previewing the website on the side without leaving the vscode would be dream.

Besides, one interesting use case is it would make Live Share extension very usable when pair programming..

Same. This would unlock a lot of awesome workflows and would make VS Code an even better place to stay inside without distractions.

Hi folks, this is now possible with the new "Integrated Browser" feature in the latest VS Code Insiders. The integrated browser is intended to replace the old simple browser and enables more advanced functionality like authentication and navigation to domains that aren't allowed in standard iframes. The new experience can be opened via the "Browser: Open Integrated Browser" command.
