  • VSCode Version: 1.16.1
  • OS Version: Win10/Linux

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Put the cursor on some identifier to observe the editor.occurrencesHighlight (I used typescript and C++).
  2. Switch to another doc and the back.

Reproduces without extensions: Yes

Bug: The occurrence highlight disappears. Ideally, it should remain, like it does with Visual Studio 2017.

I don't know why the "new release" tag got auto-added. I assume this bug repros with old releases too.
