Visual Studio 2017 introduces the ability to install multiple instances into separately directories, and a default initial install that is small and fast to install with the ability to install more workloads and components as needed. To compliment these powerful new features, this PowerShell module and related projects allow you to query different products and versions installed by the Visual Studio Installer to find the instance(s) you need.
You can find a number of examples how you might use these cmdlets.
