How to add already-downloaded files to archive?

I recently discovered the archive feature but I had already downloaded from artists I follow. Is there a command to add them to the archive without re-downloading them again?

edit: as of v1.27.2 (ea81fa9), it is necessary to include skip in the archive-event setting to write IDs of skipped files to archives, for example -o archive-event=file,skip

Just let gallery-dl go over your already downloaded files again while having the download archive feature enabled. No special command necessary. As long as it would download to an already existing file, it will simply skip the download and still write its ID to the archive file.

On Twitter, if I have many users downloaded, I will have to run the gallery-dl command one by one on all of them? If that is the case I am thinking of writing a small script

You can also use an input file with all user URLs in it:

$ cat urls.txt 
https://twitter.com/user1
https://twitter.com/user2
https://twitter.com/user3
...

$ gallery-dl --input-file urls.txt 
[1/…] https://twitter.com/user1
...

Is this no longer true? I'm trying it with an already-downloaded gallery and nothing is getting added to the SQLite database.
