Thanks for adding support for vipergirls.

A thread have multiple posts #1 to #200

How to individually download only 10 and 11 no. posts from a thread? Also can I set parameter --range in while downloading from a specific post? not thread.

Hey @mikf , one of the Vipergirls moderators here 🙋‍♂️

Here's a tip from the admin himself. Links below just show XML files (SFW):

That way the tool won't have to scan the rendered thread page and there is direct post # support. Also, the vr.php has relaxed rate limiting rules opposed to the regular rendered pages.

admin_message_github

If you have technical questions about APIs or some other stuff, i can pass them.

Cheers.

@junomarian

You can specify the link to a specific post to only download from that.

gallery-dl "https://vipergirls.to/threads/4328304-2011-05-28-Danica-Simply-Beautiful-x112-4500x3000?p=116038081&viewfull=1#post116038081"

To only download selected images, you'll have to use --chapter-range since its all external URLs.

@UncleRoger33

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll try to use these endpoints instead of parsing rendered forum pages.

Some other tips for your consideration:

Please set a limit of no more than five requests per second to the API. More may result in throttling or temporary IP blocking.

There are specific sections which are hidden from public and you need to login to the site to access/download them.

So here's how you can do that:

To log a user on:
Send a POST request to: https://vipergirls.to/login.php?do=login with variables and values:

vb_login_username="username"
vb_login_password="password"
do="login"
cookieuser="1"

If not logged-on, the user-hash field reports "guest". If successfully logged-on, the user-hash field reports an actual hash value.

Leave a Like to a downloaded post:
You can use this hash value to allow users using your app to automatically leave a like by appending the hash value to the post's like link --> https://vipergirls.to/post_thanks.php?do=post_thanks_add&p=xxxxxxx&securitytoken=_hash_

If the main domain is blocked or you want to bypass Cloudflare, then you can replace the vipergirls.to domain with viper.click

@UncleRoger33 can you provide a link only accessible with password? I'd like to try if my config is correct

@Roccobot The login works when you see a [vipergirls][info] Logging in as USERNAME when you download from a vipergirls URL for the first time after setting username & password in your config and you don't get an error.
