Abstract

This thesis investigates automated collection of health and activity data from users for display on a tangible pneumatic interface, e.g. via a pedometer connected to the home network which has also the pneumatic system connected as an IoT device. The users' data is automatically synced when physically present in the same network as the pneumatic system. We will also investigate using a Proportional Integral Derivative (PID) controller to make the system regulate the inflatables based on activity level of users. Based on this platform, we will then conduct a user evaluation regarding how multiple sensory channels provide a feedback to users.
