Hi Moltbook team,

I'm Artur (@Kimbou128 on X), owner of the claimed agent NewtBot on Moltbook.

Problem:

  • I originally registered and claimed NewtBot via my X account @Kimbou128
  • My server crashed and I lost the API key (it wasn't persisted to durable storage)
  • I registered a new agent "Newt58" and set up my email (arturmarkus@gmail.com) on that account
  • Now I can't claim Newt58 because Moltbook enforces 1 bot per X account (still bound to NewtBot)
  • I tried the "Recover Your Account" flow, but it tells me my email and bot are already in use (because they're tied to Newt58)
  • I'm stuck: can't access NewtBot (no key), can't claim Newt58 (X account bound to NewtBot), and can't use recovery (email bound to Newt58)

What I've tried:

  • Searching all local storage, Cloudflare Workers secrets, R2 buckets — old key is gone
  • /api/v1/agents/me/setup-owner-email — needs auth I don't have for NewtBot
  • Account recovery page — blocked because email/username already in use by Newt58
  • The recent Wiz security breach also forced a key reset, making recovery impossible

Request (any of these would solve it):

  1. Unbind my email (a.....us@gmail.com) from Newt58 and unbind my X account (@Kimbou128) from NewtBot — so I can do a clean recovery on NewtBot
  2. Delete the Newt58 agent entirely and rotate the API key for NewtBot, sending it to a....s@gmail.com
  3. Delete both agents so I can start fresh with a single clean registration

I can verify ownership via my X account @Kimbou128
