Steps to reproduce

Go to a webpage that contains images (in my case it happens with PNG images)
Long press the image
Open the a new tab

Expected behavior

The imagine is opened in a new tab in normal size.

Actual behavior

The image is pixels tiny. Only after touching the address bar and back, the imagine is shown properly.

Device information

  • Android device: Galaxy A5 2017 8.0
  • Fenix version: 1.0.1919

I can reproduce this bug in both Fenix and R-B, so I filed a GV bug:

QA can't verify this fix until the "Open image in new tab" menu item is restored in #3487.

#3487 has been completed and this should work in Nightly now

Verified as fixed on the latest Nightly build 191002 (#12750607) with Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (Android 9), and Samsung Galaxy Tab A6 (Android 5.1.1).

Reproducible on 2.2.0-rc.1 from 11/10 using a Google Pixel 2a (Android 9).

I'm not to reproduce the bug in Fenix Release (version Nightly 191011 13:35 from 10/11) or Nightly (version Nightly 191014 06:01 from 10/14) on my Moto G5 Plus (Android 8.1) using the same theverge.com page.

• Reprodubible on 2.2.0-rc.2
• Not reproducible on Nightly Build #12900612 from 17/10

The GV bug was fixed in GV 71 and Fenix 2.3.0 still uses GV 70.
