The UI makes it seem like it's possible to add a new email address, but it doesn't seem to be. When I go there and click "edit" on my email addresses, all it lets me do is remove my current one, thus canceling my account.

You can add another email account once you are authenticated to Persona, during the signin to an RP. (It cannot be done while visiting login.persona.org, though).

Huh, okay.

But now, this:

this

Gets a 401 from https://login.persona.org/wsapi/complete_email_confirmation when... completing email confirmation? It's asking me to choose a password, isnt it?

I don't have an existing password with Persona since I always used the gmail gateway, btw. I see I can't actually edit my current password at all, because it's asking me for my old password, which I never had. And there's no way to reset it...

@jleclanche - sorry for the confusion, the lack of an "add email" button from the manage screen is a long-standing issue. For background discussion, please see #421, #386, #1626, #843, #2461, and #4098.

Ok, so this is tracked in mozilla/persona-roadmap#40 then.

Which repository hosts login.persona? I'll see if I can work on it.

I found a work-around:

  1. Create a new Persona account with password.
  2. Try to log in to a website using Persona (e.g. https://developer.mozilla.org)
  3. Log in using your new Persona account if needed.
  4. Click on the "Add another email" button
  5. Login with your other password-less provider (e.g. Gmail).
  6. From now on, the accounts will be linked, and you can login using your password-less provider or with your password to both the password-less email address or the new email address.

I was able to add a second email address following the #4223 (comment) by @jrgm. It works, but boy is it a bass ackward way of doing it. Not exactly discoverable.
