Version 0.2.2 (see the change log) introduced the msm version command. Are you running a version older than that?

Marcus,

I am not refering to msm's version but the version of minecraft that is running.  The reason this could be helpful is for debugging scripts and if you are running multiple servers.

Well in the upcoming version 0.8.0, you will be able to tell MSM what version of a server you are running such as minecraft/1.3.1 or craftbukkit/1.2.5. This will be necessary for reading logs and entering commands.

So the status of a server could also now display that value. It is difficult to work out what version a server is actually running, since you cannot always determine it simply.

even checking the log files when server starts?
