Starting with some recent version of macOS (I'm not sure which one, certainly not Catalina) the amount of used space can be queried via
getattrlist()
's new volume attributeATTR_VOL_SPACEUSED
, which lets us display the correct Used space for APFS volumes. On systems that don't support this attribute duf will continue using the old approach.
