The problem:

We have almost no applicants for this position. I'm worried that because it says Support Engineer in the job title people are not applying to it, even tho we know it is still very much about engineering but with a different focus

The solution:

I was thinking about how to make the Support Engineer - X position more interesting and this is one suggestion. I wanted to highlight that it is still about engineering but with a different focus. I chose React Engineer - X - Community support as a potential job title but I'm open to suggestions or improvements.

We have almost no applicants for this position.

I can confirm this based on the breakdown of the applications over the last few weeks.

Now, I'm not sure that we can do much at the role level. We still have to call a cat a cat. Similar to https://retool.com/careers/Support%20Engineer%20-%20New%20York--Support--New%20York. But happy to add React to the job title to make it clearer.

Two thoughts:

• We could test the response we have when redirecting applications from another role
• We don't promote the role, the application are organic. With a promotion, we might see more applications.
