[website] Transition the Core page to be Material UI instead #37583
Conversation
@samuelsycamore Let me know if there's anything you'd like to refine further on these pieces of copy! I grabbed pieces that we are using throughout the documentation but not sure if we want to tailor them differently for marketing purposes 😬 |

Nice 👌, a few follow-up:

It would be nice to update the social card: ![]() once we finalize the new logos 😍 (#32181) |
The current Core page is confusing as it mainly refers to Material UI, which is not a synonym for MUI Core. As we get closer to "officially" introducing (as in stable) Base UI as part of the Core product group offering, that confusion is even more highlighted. To alleviate it, and to also better sit on the same level as the soon-to-be-launched Base UI page (#36622), this PR moves the content from the old Core page to a new Material UI one instead and iterates on the wording of it.
In the meantime, we'll preserve the
/core/
URL but it will not be highlighted on the website, at least for now. Maybe in the future, we might use it to show everything that's inside it. And, by the time this and the Base page PR are merged, we'll have marketing pages for two Core products.https://deploy-preview-37583--material-ui.netlify.app/material-ui/
