Summary 💡

Currently, I am trying to trigger a query from a button but due to lack of visual feedback, I can't know if it ran or not.

We should show some feedback on the canvas when any query runs. If multiple queries run on an event, we can stack the notifications.

I'm not against a visual feedback, but personally I find these notifications in retool very distracting. In 98% of the time I'm not interested in them, yet they're very obnoxious.

It can be at a place like this. No distractions and still the user can be informed.

I'm in favour of visual feedback as well. Not sure what the best way to show it is, but I agree with Jan on the top toasts being super distracting.

Maybe we can dogfood https://mui.com/toolpad/core/react-use-notifications/ here?

As mentioned before, I don't believe snackbar a is at its place here. This needs to be part of a devtools feature as I'm only interested in this information when debugging. We shouldn't have an indicator for this in the runtime by default.
