Show a visual response every time a query runs #1377
Comments
I'm not against a visual feedback, but personally I find these notifications in retool very distracting. In 98% of the time I'm not interested in them, yet they're very obnoxious. |
I'm in favour of visual feedback as well. Not sure what the best way to show it is, but I agree with Jan on the top toasts being super distracting. |
Sure, we can do a statusbar |
Maybe we can dogfood https://mui.com/toolpad/core/react-use-notifications/ here? |
As mentioned before, I don't believe snackbar a is at its place here. This needs to be part of a devtools feature as I'm only interested in this information when debugging. We shouldn't have an indicator for this in the runtime by default. |

Summary 💡
Currently, I am trying to trigger a query from a button but due to lack of visual feedback, I can't know if it ran or not.
We should show some feedback on the canvas when any query runs. If multiple queries run on an event, we can stack the notifications.
