include days till expiration in the expiry alert email #8
Comments
this would be especially helpful with trials, where the early notice isn't as important as simply knowing the day of expiration |
Here at Stanford, we are testing Alerts for expiring resources, and we had hoped the alerts would state how many days remained until a subscription expires. Right now, the 30, 60, and 90 settings all produce the same message, which is: "The subscription end date for this resource is approaching or passing." Would it be possible to separate the resources into separate arrays and let each group have its own message? For example, the alert for the "90" group could say something like, "This subscription is due to expire in three months." Thanks, |
Holly- We actually created a page that lists our expiring resources. Attached is a screen shot from one of our development servers. Hi Doug, That sounds interesting! I am unable to see the attachment, however. This is my first day on GitHub, and I am most likely doing something wrong. Please could you tell me how to view the attachment? Or would you be willing to send the screen shot to my email address, which is holly7@stanford.edu ? Thank you very much! |
I appreciate the screen shot, Doug. It looks interesting, and I have already forwarded it to others here, to see if we should attempt something similar. I might be coming back to you for implementation advice! Thank you very much. |
