A clear and concise description of what the problem is. Ex. I'm always frustrated when [...]

This is not so much a problem but would be helpful for other services,
like talking with an assistant on your phone without opening your mail.

Describe the solution you'd like
A clear and concise description of what you want to happen.

The ability to ask the llm to tell me my latest emails,
or a specific email filtered by a date range and/or sender and/or keyword.
maybe that would be the top 5 emails that match.
You could ask for latest unread emails instead if you know you only checked a few.

If you can, a link to the emails looked at should be given to the user, most likely by telling the llm to give the link associated with each email to the user with the email.

Describe alternatives you've considered
A clear and concise description of any alternative solutions or features you've considered.

I do not know of any common MCP servers that do this, so I don't think there is an alternative.

Add any other context or screenshots about the feature request here.

This would be incredibly useful for integration in other services and would help for this app to feel truly Integrated with mail.

One thing I am not sure is whether when an email is checked, it should be marked as read or not.

Please give me feedback on what suggestion are good, which should be changed, and which are bad. Maybe there are better ways of doing things I have not thought of.

Thank you! I was wondering if that has some of the other capabilities I mentioned like the email search feature and others or could have that in the future.
Thank you again for the great work, I really appreciate the ability to connect to other things and have other things connect to the assistant.

Latest mails (for a specific mailbox) and giving a specific mail should work. I will have a look at including a link.
It can in theory search for mails but it may not be super performant, I guess for that you would want to look at Context Search for which including mails is in the works, and it also is a tool for Context Agent :)

Ok, that sounds great!
I am wondering would Context Agent be able to choose the target for Context Search? (like email or files) and are you saying it would search perhaps date and sender to? I am not trying to get stuck on searching other elements of the email if you think that would not be a good idea.
Can Context Search, search creation date of documents? I thought it only searched the contents and not metadata, so that would be nice if so. Sorry for getting off the topic of Context Agent.

Ah well, my brain was going weird, it's Context Chat, not Context Search.

At least for emails, the headers and sent dates will be included in the Context Chat database, but I don't remember if they're searchable too. Maybe @marcelklehr or @kyteinsky can answer that? As for anything else such as sender, it'll probably need to be inferred from the email contents.

Ok, thank you. I have some questions about how it might work for when ready.
So, you could ask for an email that happen in January 2025 that was about a recipe that you can't remember the exact wording of for example, or ask for the latest emails that was by (some friend's name).
Also, does that work for other documents to go by their creation date? If so, that is a great feature I was not aware of.

I just wanted to say I wanted to possibly make a new feature request for the same feature but for Talk, to search it like this.
Should I link this feature request if I do? Thank you for being so quick with your responses.
