Download on Nextcloud Apps is not working #30
Comments
I just ran into the same issue. Perhaps put the latest version on Github as part of a release file, and download it from there? |
I had downloaded the latest version from GitHub, extract it to |
same issue |
Hi guys, I am sorry, my server is down for now, for the next versions of my apps, i will try to publish my apps on a stable platform. Has anyone an idea ? (I will close this issue when it will be resolved) |
@NastuzziSamy See my post above. You can host it under Releases on Github. |
For an example, see https://github.com/la5nta/pat/releases. Each of those is a static link which can be referenced anywhere. |
How can I get this App? |
Same issue here |
Seems a lot of people are just linking directly to the release published on GitHub (check draw.io for example) |
@NastuzziSamy Github is great for this, try that |
unable to installPlease update the link in Nextcloud Apps Error
|
Using github-releases is quite easy and common. The cdn for github works great. There are other ways like maxcdn, sourceforge or so, but github/gitlab releases is widely known, accessable and well integrated into other deployment processes. |
Yeah sorry I fixed it. It was caused due to Pretty urls which has broken after I updated NC: nextcloud/server#10678 I'll release a new version at the end of the week, thanks for advice |
I was able to install the app today, so whatever may have changed seems to have fixed it. |
I'm still getting an error:
Using the latest docker image of nextcloud:fpm. Didn't have this issue with the latest Snap Package of Nextcloud.. Not sure if this is related. |
Same here.
|
Unable to download here as well. Any chance that release is coming soon? |
December 1 and not fixed. Please research and resolve in an efficient and timely manner. Thank you. |
@NastuzziSamy |
@CodeBrauer before the end of the year, concidere it like my christmas gift 😋 Feel free to open PRs and issues, I will review with pleasure :) |
Wow how about you read the license(there's neither a right for you to be cocky in there nor does it disclaim any warranty..) and start being a little bit more friendly towards people giving you free software? This reads so extremely aggressive... @NastuzziSamy I don't know that much about App dev for NC but as far as I can see there's nothing a PR would do. You'd have to upload the signed release with the correct folder structure to Github(just like you did on your server probably?) and then I can't find anything about where the download URL is stored but I'd guess somewhere on the app store site itself, so you'll probably be the only one who can actually make those changes :/ This is what I could find in the docs:
|
FYI, Anyone using nextcloud to host public files should try the Share Renamer app. With that you can customize the random part of the URL or re-instate a previously published link to fix it if it changed. I also had trouble with the shortened url bug in Nextcloud. |
I'm QA, speaking like QA. Nothing more. Skol!

> GitHub release downloads do not match the required folders structure. This is because GitHub appends a version to the top folder name. Therefore you need to create a separate release which conforms to the expected structure

Maybe helps. Thanks in advance @NastuzziSamy for your time. |
@pepe84, it is now back online ;) For the release, tomorrow :) |
@NastuzziSamy Thanks a ton! |
It seems like your web nastuzzi.fr is not working which breaks enabling app from Nextcloud Apps.
