@ChristophWurst could you please work with your team to link existing issues to each item and or create new ones if you think it's needed?

  1. should have a higher priority in my opinion. The way threads are handled, right now, makes by far more problems than it solves. As I understood, this is not an easy problem to solve. Until then, it would be much better to be able to disable threads.. or at least to make the filter for unread messages work.

One other thing that the teachers in our school are often complaining about, is that forwarded messages don't contain images. This is pretty bad for newsletters, for example. This doesn't seem to be a priority at all.

I appreciate the feedback @LostinSpacetime! Finding the right priority is tricky as everyone has different needs. The result above are based on a group of randomly selected people that use Nextcloud daily. Perhaps @marcoambrosini can add some context to the ticket description for the people who did not participate.

Number 2 and 5 should be solved with the newly landed commits ❤️.

More discoverable multi-select and bulk operations

@marcoambrosini @nimishavijay do you have ideas or suggestions for a more discoverable UI? Should we show the checkboxes all the time?

^ These were the only ones that had the mysterious ✔️ next to them so I didn't bother with the others.

As a daily user of Mail myself, I look forward to the improvements!
Also, if i may be so bold to say that more dogfooding of the Mail app may reveal the day to day annoyances better than asking for a wishlist from users.

The areas that still prevent us from adopting this over SnappyMail:

  1. Search... it never returns, just times out trying to retrieve any data (Can't load inbox)
  2. Sieve settings do not have a user friendly setup.
  3. The ability to respond to inline calendar requests from outside email such as Google calendar requests from external users.
