[Idea]: Helm chart parameters value format not documented

What is your idea for improving documentation?

The Helm chart installation docs don't seem to show what the actual format should be for most helm chart options, for instance:

• controller.volumes
• controller.volumeMounts

Listing default values is fine but I don't seem to find any link/place where to look for the expect format for several chart options. An additional column might be added here to show an example for each and every parameter

I pinged the engineering team for NGINX Ingress Controller to get their perspective on this issue.

The table is already quite dense, and trying to expand on it more will likely worsen the UX.

I enquired into the source files that would allow someone review the default values directly, and was given these two links:

• https://github.com/nginx/kubernetes-ingress/blob/main/charts/nginx-ingress/values.schema.json

I think it might be possible to gracefully guide a user towards them: the files are also trustworthy as a source of truth: duplicating the information could lead to drift.
